Holts Landing State Park is dog-friendly. Located around the little bays of Delaware, previously an area where Native Americans harvested seafood and hunted in local woodland, this park became state-owned in 1965 to protect the land and provide a recreation area for local people and visitors from all over. The scenery in the park is surprisingly varied, including beaches, grassy fields, and hardwood forests. You'll find plenty of people and pooches enjoying the picnic, crabbing, and hiking opportunities in the park. The fee for entering the park is $4 for in-state visitors and $8 for out-of-state. Holts Landing State Park is open every day of the week from 8am until sunset.
