Dogs are welcome to join you at Alapocas Run State Park. Donated to the city of Wilmington in the early 1900s by local industrialist William Bancroft, this popular park also includes the Blue Ball Barn, a LEED-certified building that is famed for having a cutting edge environmental design. Popular activities at this park that you can enjoy with your pooch include biking, hiking, and picnicking. There are a number of other activities that Fido may not be able to join in with as well, like rock climbing and wedding receptions. The park is open every day of the week from 8am until 4pm.
