Dusty was found in west Texas and sat in an outdoor shelter for weeks waiting for a savior. When we picked him up, he was so skinny and had a lip injury we were very worried about initially. In 3 short weeks, this baby has already gained 9lbs and looks amazing. We learned from the vet that his lip injury was old, and had healed on its own. He was very lucky it didn’t get infected as it healed, but now he has the cutest pout we have ever seen.
Dusty is around 9 years old, and is now up to 50lbs. His favorite activity is rocking in the recliner with his foster dad. His foster mom describes him as super sweet, calm, and gentle. He gets along well with their their other dogs, as well as their children (9 and 4). He really loves affection, likes his kennel, and even walks well on a leash (no cats please). Overall, this sweet boy is pretty perfect. He does still need to complete his heart worm treatment, but that cost will be covered by our generous donors. Our goal is to find this sweetheart a family who will recognize the amazing boy he is, and allow him to be your best friend
