Leah is a fairly high energy Lab mix girl who arrived at our shelter in October from a shelter in KY where she was picked up as a stray so her history is unknown. She's a sweet girl who loves to retrieve, is fairly well mannered, and is learning how to walk on a leash (in progress). When Leah arrived, she was skittish about sudden movements or petting although not at all unpleasant. She is learning that human hands are for kindness but will still submit if grabbed quickly. Leah would do best in a home without lots of noise or the unpredictability of small children. Outside, she is outgoing and super happy. A telephone interview is conducted after an approved application is received and that is followed by a meet/greet, home visit and a call to your veterinarian.
