Trinity is a 2.5 month old Bull Terrier / Pit Bull Terrier mix that is estimated to be between 40-45 lbs once she is full grown. She is curious, observant, and playful. She is super affectionate, and loves to give lots of love and gets lots of love. She loves to be picked up and snuggled like a baby, and takes every opportunity to cuddle up with her human. The resident dogs also love hanging out with her because she is a great snuggler with them, too. She is the smaller of her siblings, but she can hold her own against her big brothers. She likes to sit back and watch everyone play, then finds a toy to take to one of her siblings to play tug-o-war with her.
Trinity is low to medium energy. She is pretty laid back with short bursts of puppy energy that can easily be burned with a game of tug-o-war or chasing tennis balls in the backyard. Once she gets older, she will be a great companion to take on hikes in nature and walks in the neighborhood because she loves seeing new things and exploring. She is the type of girl who is up for whatever her human is, so if you want a lazy day cuddling on the couch or going on outdoor adventures, she will be perfectly happy doing whatever you want to do.
Trinity is good with kids, cats, and dogs. She is such a sweet girl that loves everyone she meets. She is great around other dogs and loves to snuggle up with them and give them sweet puppy kisses. She is not overwhelming with her greetings when meeting new dogs so she has been a big hit with the older resident dogs in her foster home. She currently has cats in her foster home, and she ignores the cats because they made it clear to her that they do not want to be friends with her. She would be a great pup for kids of all ages and would love to have kids in the home who want to play fetch with a ball or tug-o-war with her.
Trinity is kennel trained with a playpen, and she is currently working on potty training and leash training. She is picking up on potty training quickly now that she has figured out how to use the doggy door. Her ideal home environment would be a house with a fenced in backyard, but she would do well in an apartment, townhouse or condo as long as she gets daily exercise and has a human that is committed to taking her out multiple times per day to continue her potty training.
If you are interested in adopting Trinity, please fill out an application at: https://www.loveandpuppypawsdogrescue.com/adoption-application.
Trinity is in a foster home in South Texas and will be transported once adopted. Due to her age and size, she will not be spayed before she heads to her forever home. There is a $200 spay/neuter deposit required that is fully refundable once the procedure is completed. She cannot be adopted in Canada at this time.
TRANSPORT: Currently we have monthly transports. It will be up to the adoptive family to meet the transport to pick up your new family member. Please be advised that our dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported. Unfortunately at this time, we cannot bring dogs for a typical meet and greet situation, due to the extensiveness of the transport distance and it being unfair for the dogs who are not adopted to have to make the trip back.
Please be advised that applications are reviewed in the order that they are received. To ensure we are honoring the dogs that we have committed to helping, we do have policies and procedures in place that we follow when reviewing adoption applications. LAPP Dog Rescue is ran 100% by volunteers, so please be mindful that when you submit an application that it can take a few days to be reviewed. Submitting an application is not a confirmation that the adoption will be approved/completed. Before submitting the application, please read the FULL description on PetFinder describing the dog's personality, energy level, housing requirements and our policy on meet and greets.
The total cost to adopt is $830, which includes a $400 adoption fee, $230 transport fee, and a $200 refundable deposit. The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormer, and health certificate from a licensed veterinarian.
