OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR COLORADO BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Colorado. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.). Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. Tulip, 2.5 months (estimated DOB March 2024), female, Terrier/Chihuahua mix, estimated to be a small size when full grown. She is in a foster home in Austin, TEXAS and is able to transport out of State once an adopter is approved. This girl is sassy and always on the move! She has a big personality in a little body. She shares a home with several other puppies and adult dogs. She is always jumping on them, chasing and just being an energetic puppy. Tulip was saved from what we believe is a backyard breeder. Her foster mom was in a rural area helping to save some dogs on the street. She stumbled across a home where one of the adults surrendered Tulip. We are not sure why, but are grateful she is in our care. She is not housebroken or crate trained. Due to her young age and other dogs in the home, her foster mom keeps her inside to limit her exposure to infections or disease. She is using potty pads and spends time in a pen. She will need continued training in both of these areas. She has not been around cats or kids. We think she would do well with kids who both understand and respect animal boundaries. Please note she still has her sharp puppy teeth and is very jumpy. Tulip is looking for a home who has an understanding of raising puppies into adult hood. This can be prior experience or someone who will seek support as needed (training, friends/family). Puppies bring so much joy, but also need intentional and committed attention. They need help socializing with new people, other dogs, leash work and basic obedience. Puppies under 6 months of age are placed on a spay/neuter contract until they are old enough to be altered. For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. Adopt a dog:Riley Grace World/German Shepherd Dog/Female/Baby,This cutie is Riley. She is currently 6 pounds, 6 weeks old, and we think she may be a Shepherd mix, but with rescue its a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Riley is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play with her siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! Riley is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Petunia, 10 weeks (estimated DOB March 2024), female, Great Pyrenees/Retriever mix, estimated medium/large size when full grown. As of 5/28/24 she weighs 16 lbs. She is in foster home in AUSTIN, TEXAS and can transport out of State once an adopter is approved. This sweet girl and her sister were surrendered when their foster was doing some street rescue in a rural area north of Houston. She came in contact with a woman who had an accidental litter and they rehomed all but two of the puppies. We were able to see mom and believe she is a Great Pyrenees mix, but are unsure what other breeds Petunia is blended with. As of 5/27/24 she weighed 16 pounds. Petunia is energetic, on the go, spunky and more bold than her sister. She has other puppies and adult dogs to run and play with. We would recommend another dog in the home to continue her socialization skills/manners. She is not housebroken or crate trained. She will need a home who is willing to put in the time and energy to raise a puppy into adulthood. She has not been around cats or kids. We always recommend homes with kids who understand and respect animal boundaries. Puppies under 6 months of age are placed on a spay/neuter contract until they are old enough to be altered.
