Meet Honey

Hi there! I'm Honey, a 4-year-old American Staffy with a heart full of love and a few quirks that make me special. I'm a big, beautiful girl who’s looking for a home where I can truly shine. I’m quite nervous with storms, fireworks, and loud noises, so I need an experienced owner who understands how to help me feel safe and secure. Providing a safe space like a crate or hiding spot would be perfect for me to feel safe during these events. I also need someone who’s home more often than not, as don't necessarily enjoy being left alone at home and do best with a bit of company. I’m a playful and spirited girl, but I do need to be the only pet in the home. While I enjoy interacting with other dogs, I can be selective. I’m not a fan of bouncy/jumpy dogs that jump all over me, so it’s important that my new family is attentive to my signals and makes sure introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully. Ideally, I'd love a calm and social dog buddy who can read my cues and get along with me. I must admit, I have a preference for a home without cats or pocket pets, as I’ve been known to chase them. I also need a home with access to outdoor spaces since I was previously kept outdoors when left alone, and I prefer having a bit of space to explore and relax. In terms of daily care, I’ll need plenty of physical and mental enrichment to keep me happy and healthy. Regular walks, engaging toys, and interactive playtime are a must. While I’m not overly comfortable with too much pats, I would prefer no children under 12, I’m a loving companion who will thrive in a home where I feel understood and respected.
